I am new here and quite new to web design. I have recently finished a diploma with the Home Learning Library in Dreamweaver and am looking for some freelance work to build my portfolio in my spare time. Please take a look at my site and email me at samlaidler@btinternet.com if you would like a quote.
My website is www.cliffedgedesign.co.uk
I would welcome any pointers on how to promote myself from experienced designers.
Sorry if this is in the wrong topic but I am new to this forum.
Kind regards
Sam

I really don't want to offend you, but your website isnt going to get you any business. Your design is very basic, and doesnt really say "2010". You could do something a lot simplier, which would look a lot better.
You need to be looking at sites like twitter, google, facebook and bbc, and try to emulate that style and feel....that's what people expect nowadays.

Easy!
Updating it would help draw in business though. Take a look at this which I came across by googling the website designs http://www.digitallabs.tv/ for inspiration for modern, simple and high quality design.

first time I've ever seen trolling here!
As for a qualification in dream weaver, at least when I started out, as bad as I was back then, i was more then aware it was the language not the software I needed to be good at!
