Hi,

Does anyone know how to setup IE so it can run IE6 and IE7 side by side - this would be extremely helpful to myself and fellow website designers! At the moment I have IE7 on my PC and IE6 on my laptop and it's annoying have to switch each time I want to check if my code is displaying properly on both!

Ben :)

Yes, I think you can, when your installing it, change the location, create a new folder and rename the application IE7(2)

Ben did you manage to sort this out as my Windows updates have just been downloaded and IE7 is one of them and I don't want to install it yet as I want to keep my copy of IE6. What did you do to get this sorted. I'm sure there was a thred somewhere on the forum about a standalone app...can't find it though.

Juts installed Firefox 2 so I thought I'd upgrade to IE7 at the same time. My instant reaction to IE& - ABSOLUTELY HATE IT! Plus it's overwritten my IE6 - is there a way to get my IE6 back?

Down load an IE install from evolt and unzip the contents. I'm able to successfully run IE5.5, IE6 and IE7 on my box with no problems. No tweaking or registry hacking required.

Ah so now you have NO excuse to not make your sites fully accessible with IE3.

I know this thread is getting old now and this is probably no longer requred.

But I thought that you might be interested in the Multiple IE project.

- I'm sure that when IE8 is on forced release they will implement IE7 into the Multiple IE mix too.
