A client gave me his log in details for his domain yesterday and I've changed the nameservers. I can now gain access to the site and cpanel via the domain without 'www', and yet the domain with 'www' is still showing the 123-reg page.....
Can anyone explain this to me?
I still can't connect via FTP, and email accounts aren't working yet...
Never mind...it's all working now. Was just wondering why I could access some areas and not others.

I believe it take 24 hours or so for the servers to sort themselves out.. I'm pretty sure there's a prompt that explains this somewhere during the process.

It's explained here...
Quote
When the transfer has started, the current admin contact will receive an email from Tucows containing a URL, a domain name and password. They can use these details to either cancel the transfer or confirm it. Tucows will ask for a contact phone number in case there are any problems.
After the transfer is accepted, it will take 24 hours to complete if the domain is with another Tucows reseller, or up to seven days if the domain is with a different registrar.
Once this email has been replied to in the time scale specified by that registrar, the domain will be transferred to 123-reg, and you will be able to manage your domain in the 123-reg. control panel

I second that, been with them for 2 years and have 15 domains registered with them. Never needed their support because they have never messed up.
Also, they don't ALWAYS take 24 hours, that's purely just to cover their backs. Once i thought it was taking ages to update but when using another computer it was working fine. It's not always 123-reg's fault.
