Hi,

I am considering creating a forum and wondered if anybody had any advice on how to go about advertising the fact that its there! and to join!!

I have made some web banners (125x125 etc) but don't know where to place them! or what else I can do really.

I don't want to spam other forums etc either.

Thanks

Start quality discussions on your forum.

If you're low on members, get some friends to join up and contribute until you get some organic sign-ups. Some articles might help. A nice, friendly atmosphere. It all worked well for my forum. :)

Er, that's why it has been suggested you start some discussions yourself :) This will allow you get more of presence in the search engines and hopefully, ultimately lead to natural signs up.

What is this forum about - why should people join - what are your forum's USPs?
