Again, I was browsing another forum that I'm on and came across this tutorial and thought I would share it with everyone here

I DID NOT WRITE THIS TUTORIAL, CREDIT GOES TO http://k-johnson.deviantart.com/

This tutorial will show you how you can control your drop shadow the way you want. You have probably seen websites with unique drop shadow styles. Most of you at Encide probably know how to do this, but maybe someone out there doesn't. The great thing about Photoshop is that there are many ways to get the same effect. Some people rely on smudging, erasing or the liquify tool to warp their own drop shadow that they created themselves by making a selection, creating a new layer underneath it, filling it with black and Gaussian blurring it, and fidgeting the shadow with said tools -- that works well, but it also relies on a steady hand.

I believe my method is simpler and more accurate, but you can be the judge of that.
You probably know of a much easier way, so let me know if you do

You could add a slight blur to the drop shadow.
