It all depends on the platform and your needs. At the moment on OS X I'm finding the developer previews of Chrome to be best.

On my dock I've got Firefox, Flock, Chrome, Safari and Opera. I use Firefox to debug my sketchy jQuery, Safari to watch TV, all of them to check my work.
Chrome is definitely my favourite for several reasons; fast, no mess, no ridiculous themes, no annoying updates, minimal controls, neat tabbing, top-sites (though not great/easy to edit), keeps websites looking great. I say keeps sites looking great as it just seems to make pages work regardless of the errors within the HTML/CSS - that may not be great for us developers, but that's why we've all got IE6 stored somewhere, right?

In fact, upon loading the actual browser application, Chrome loads nearly 3 times faster than Firefox (only a matter of a second or so, but still...). Safari can still claim victory of application load-times, at least on OS X.

So in my opinion, the best are; 1. Chrome, 2. Safari, 3. Firefox - without the dross.

On my Desktop (64 bit) i use FF because chrome tends to play up a lot

Love love love Google Chrome. With it's extensions it's the browser I've always wanted. I never trust Google to not spy on me but I read the whole boring privacy bit about Chrome and it sounds okay to me. I did see that Chrome is supposedly less secure (5 times so) than IE8 but seeing as I got a lot of Trojans etc when I was using IE8 I don't know if I believe in the supposed security of IE8.

Firefox, I've been using it for years and I find it is so much faster and efficient when i compare it to IE.

I use opera on my nokia e71 and I love that, I've actually found it to be faster than the internet on Blackberrys.

My preference is Firefox but I've not really devoted anytime to looking at Chrome/Safari etc, basically, as long as it's not IE I don't really mind.

I love Chrome, for me it's a good mix between Firefox and Safari.
Ad I love it to watch soccer games in streaming, and Chrome is perfect for that.

I love firefox for designing, as the firebug tool and the CSS editor in the web developer toolbar are second to none!

Saying that I love Chrome for its speed and the way it is always realiable... i just find it hard to use the developer app that it uses, and have tried Firebug lite and cant get used to it... so I use Chrome mainly for non design work....

Chrome developer tools are really good when you learn you're way around them. The console's great for JS debugging too.

Chrome + Firefox for dev work. Chrome generally.

I find things I don't like on every browser to be honest. I am liking the latest version of Opera most of all though, very quick loading of pages, customisable, excellent CSS/Javscript support, the Speed Dial is good.
Seems to have a bug with ctrl+T not launching new tabs sometimes, which is annoying.

Firefox is my choice for developing sites as I am used to Firebug.

I had that, the one thing i do like about opera is the ability to set a refresh interval.

What about mobile browsers? Does anyone use a none default on their phone. SkyFire for android is deffo my fave atm

Firefox, best for dev, worst for speed/browsing. Basically, a complete resource HOG
Chrome, fast as hell, but developer tools suck IMO. Add ons seem flakey
Opera, lovely browser - but lacks support for XMarks or Feedly
Safari - won't touch it, f**k off Jobs. Also, don't like the lack of tear off tabs.
IE - never use it except to test.

My favorite to USE is Opera, it has some incredibly cool features - but it just lacks some other core features I've got used to in FF to make me switch.

The addons are a little dodgey, makes me think of greasemonkey. The developer tools offer things out of the box that FireFox doesn't. It's great for resource tracking, monitoring scripts etc. The developer tools offer a lot if you take the time to understand them. They're excellent for JS.
