Hi, I have just launched my website and submitted it to google (about 2 weeks ago). I have searched google on how to check my sites position on certain search phrases but I cant find any clear info. Is there a free online tool where I can enter my domain name and a phrase, such as 'web design london' and see what position my site comes up in google? I want to check this regularly as I implement SEO techniques and dont want to have to go through the results manually each time to find where my site comes. thanks :)

Manually checking is better beside using any tool, They can not tell the exact result.
Just go to Advance search and change 100 Results in a page. Its More easy rather than using a tool.

I'm using Rank Checker tool from SEObook and also recheck positions manually, I'm sure there are some good paid tools.

Some seriously bad advice on this forum.

Are you having a laugh. SEO is only part of my job as a developer and I'm currently monitoring 14 seperate websites. If I had to manually check ranking of each site I get nothing done.

Seocentro.com is pretty accurate and free to use. So you can use these tools to check your rankings for a particular keyword. As for the keyword suggestions you can use Google keyword suggestion tool it's a good tool.
