I have done simple things such as using different Key Words on each page within the website and by doing link building.
I have looked around but the majority of on-line things just tell me to buy peoples articles that will guarantee 1st page rankings which I do not agree on for one moment.
Here is our website: www.petssuppliesonline.co.uk
I have been thinking about getting a Dedicated IP Address for the website however i am not sure if this will benefit us at all, we are really desperate to get this site up the listings with the minimum of costs so any help is much appreciated.
Thanks to you all in advance.
David.

Use your keyword in the description META Tag
If your using 1 keyword use the Heading Tags (H1, H2, H3) for different variations of it. If your using more than 1 keyword use the Heading Tags for each keyword in order of importance. Use the keywords in the body text and emphisize or bold them just once.
Get some quality incoming links with the keyword in the anchor text. This takes time and is a slow process depending on the competition so you may want to do some keyword research and begin a targetted PPC until your site is more established.

5. Do not spam the description or keyword meta tag by stuffing meaningless keywords or even spend too much time on this tag. SEO pros all agree that these tags are not as important today as they once were. I just place my headline once within the keywords and description tags.
Awful advice, sorry.
The description tag may not have as much meaning as it once did but simply filling it with your keywords is a bad idea. Well written meta descriptions help click throughs from the serps, fact.

Seconded!!
This is the description that people see on google and such. Hence if it is filled with rubbish or nothing then people may not click on your page.

these are make your websites which having more traffic..
8 steps for traffic:
1.design is different than traditional print publishing. Every website is an information display container, just as a book is a container; and every web page is like the page in a book. However the end size and shape of the web page is not known to the web designer, whereas the print designer will know exactly what size paper he will be printing on.
2.Learn the science of effective keyword selection
3.Create an opt-in page where visitors provide their name and email address for further information.
4.Create newsletters and special announcements to send out to your auto-responder list of subscribers.
5.Write articles and press releases
6.Implement the use of Viral Marketing
7.Join forums or discussion sites to gain information and to share your knowledge
8.Exchange or trade links with other websites

As for the SEO, here's my 2 cents on some basics:
Why the redirect? Considering your content, petssuppliesonline.co.uk is a much better domain than animalbase.co.uk. If you want to keep the redirect drop the keyword stuffed meta refresh idea, make it a 301 redirect or set forwarding in your domain control panel.
Sort your header tags out! You've got two H1 tags on the homepage and then jump straight into H4 and H5 tags for the rest of the titles. The hierarchy of headers is important, have one H1 tag per page and don't skip H2 and H3 tags.

Sometimes it can be useful if you not sure about keywords and key phrases.
Also go for google keywords tools in google and other good tool WordStream's Keyword Tool, just type it on google.

Completely agree.
The URL you gave is just redirecting after 10 seconds, with nothing on it and a delayed redirect to http://www.animalbase.co.uk/ I don't think will get you anywhere anyway. Additionally, there's very little content, so it's just a splash page. Splash pages and SEO don't go well together, so I would strong suggest removing this.
Google has indexed the site: http://www.google.co...imalbase.co.uk/
I'm assuming this is a fairly new URL? That being the case concentrate on building content and links.
Hope that helps!

This is a duff post! It's a spammer! The fact that they haven't responded to any of the advice or replies either is a little bit of a hint. Alex and Tbomedia also gave a big clue. Don't wast your time posting anymore, the originator won't be reading it anytime soon.
His name is probably Ishmal and he lives in Delhi and is paid 3p per 100 links made! (Apologies to anyone named Ishmal in Delhi for the stereotyping!)
Another glass half empty moment!

# Title: The title of your site is very important for multiple reasons. A good title gives a visitor a clue where he’s located, but the most important value of your title tag is the search engine purpose.
# Headings: To make your article or website readable and scan-able for your visitors, you should use headings to separate different parts of your content. Headings have the same purpose for the search engines.
# Images: Images are a great way to create a better looking article or website. Fortunately, we can also use images to help us in our search engine optimizing strategy.
# URL: When people scan the search engine results pages, they always notice three things. The title, the description and the URL.
