I'm trying to integrate Open Cart into my existing XHTML layout. Does anyone have any experience doing this and can point me in the right direction? I posted this one another forum and people just basically tell me to "figure it out" which isn't very helpful.

Have you tried reading the documentation, as there is a huge amount available for opencart.

Like above I would say read the docs and get a good understanding of what is required. Make sure you have a good knowledge of CSS and start from there IMO

Hey guys. Thanks for the replies. I'm at the stage where I have a two websites which have not converged at all. One is the shopping cart website and the other one is my website with no shopping cart. If my situation was a Venn diagram, it would be a picture of two circles which do not meet and myself standing in the center, very angry.

I've read all the documentation for open cart. And unless I'm missing something there isn't much of it. The wiki is bare and the documentation on the website mostly just outlines how to install the software and how to use the admin GUI. I posted this same question on the open cart forums and either no one knows or no one cares or both because no one has replied to the post. If I'm missing the content you're referring to, please let me know rallport.

It seems that open cart uses a template system. If this is the only way to use open cart then I should probably look for a lighter-weight cart software. I didn't spend hours and hours perfecting my html and css to completely rewrite it for a template.
