This is my first time on a forum so please be gentle with me.

This is my problem.

I have a client who runs courses. The courses can be booked online. As its a test at the moment i recommended using pay-pal until the website really takes of and then i would opt for a shopping cart or other type of software.

The client owns a shop and has a credit card swipe machine for accepting payments form customers.

Can pay-pal be linked to this card swipe machine which resides in her shop?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated, as all i get when i type this into google is the pay pal virtual terminal stuff which (i think) is not what im asking.

Regards and thanks in advance,

Surya Osborne (Fathernugen)

Hi,

Welcome to the community. :).

I would imagine it all depends on who provides his merchant account but as PayPal provide merchant services also, I very much doubt you'll be able to integrate PayPal to be able to use the credit card machine.

What type of integration are you talking about exactly?

I think Paypal offer this service free with Website Payments Pro - iirc its called Paypal Terminal Services - although I've never used it myself.

EDIT: looks like they do: https://www.paypal.c..._vt_hub-outside
