What rules would apply to me if I want to sell things online?
I would like to sell some stuff that I made, on my website. Would I have to register as a business? Or could I just be a private seller as it's just a hobby?

Thanks for that, I'll have a good look at that website.
Would I still have to register as self employed when I have a full-time job and do this on side?
It would probably be easier selling it on ebay wouldn't it...?

The best advice is to ask your local tax office because only they know the current requirements. Whatever happens, any money you make outside of your full time job is additional income, and therefore taxable at some point depending on your current earnings. At a minimum you will need to complete an annual tax return.
