Hi, I wasn't sure where to ask this...

I need to jazz up some documentation that goes out to clients. I don't have any form of publishing software, but the documents will be printed to PDF anyway, so I can create some imagery in photoshop and import any images as a jpeg for example.

Thing is, I'm a bit short on inspiration, but I'm not sure what this is called. I looked for documentation but didn't find what I was looking for. It isn't a leaflet, or flyer, or anything, it's more like a brochure I guess, but I need to optimise space rather than having half a page of block colour etc. It's the 'arty' side that I need some inspiration for - more the front cover etc. At present, it looks like a word document.

Any help would be much appreciated.

What sort of information is the brochure presenting? If I know more, I might be able to point you in the right direction.

Thanks Helen,

It's a pack that is sent to a client which contains application forms and information. I need to jazz it up slightly and remove that "word document" look if possible. The few I can find have faint swirls or curved borders etc. As the document is printed, it doesn't want to be colour heavy. However, I just need some inspiration to make it a bit more attractive and less like a word doc. I'm hoping that in time, there will be an opportunity to design some form of card sleeve.

Righty-o, I know what you mean :)

I'm pushed for time at the mo, (6 x 9 year old girls coming for a sleepover = Stressed Helen!!!!) but I have some sites somewhere on my bookmarks that may be of use... will see if I can find them in a bit and post them on. (I have also created hundreds of things like this in the past, so may be able to give you a few pointers :) )

Thanks Helen. Hope the sleep over went well! I am thankfully a good few years away from that! :)
