Hi everyone,

What i want to know is basically is it a good idea or a bad idea to have a flash navigation menu on a website?

There is an example here.

This is an example of a flash menu being used instead of HTML/CSS methods to display a sub-navigation menu.

Is this good or bad?

What are you thoughts?

Bad. Flash is total overkill for a menu, plus search engines have a hard time indexing flash content. Then what happens when a user doesn't have flash? My phone currently only comes equipped with flash lite, many people i know have no flash ability on their phone.

Check out some of Stu Nicholls work with menu's. http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menus/

HTML/CSS is capable of producing multi level menu's, you can use JS to animate them if you wish.
