READ THIS TOPIC BEFORE POSTING OR REPLYING TO TOPICS IN LOOKING TO HIRE!

In order to create or reply to topics you must have a purchased either a "Job Poster" package for £1.99 or have a "Platinum Membership".

Rules for JOB POSTERS:

1. Be realistic
  • To help potential candidates understand your needs, the more details you can provide about your project the better.
  • Don't expect an all singing all dancing web site for peanuts. Designers have a living to make, you wouldn't be happy being paid £100 for 40 hours work! If you're not sure about a budget for the job ask for offers.

2. Post format
  • Please use all these sub-headings below for your job request.
Country:
  • Where the job applicant must be located. Can be "anywhere", but also allows for the job poster to be specific if he/she requires somebody local.
  • EDIT: Please append the title with the location i.e. [LONDON] or [UK] for a broader range. please add [REMOTE] if location isn't important.
Scope:
  • An outline of the job (eg update current site, build new site, add new features).
Size:
  • Number of pages, or type of site (eg portal, dating site).
Time Frame:
  • When the project needs to be completed by.
Budget:
  • Post your minimum and/or maximum budget if you have a price in mind, if you are unsure on your budget, then ask for quotes from the designer.
Existing URL:
  • If applicable.
Features:
  • e.g. Search Functionality, Event Calendar.
Other Features:
  • Add extended details, relevant information, sites that have a certain feature - anything that may help people understand what you're looking for.

If a particular subheading has no information just add "n/a" or "not relevant"

3. Check your post regularly
  • Please check the thread regularly for any questions that people have asked.
  • If you find a suitable applicant for your job please update the thread - this saves people applying when the position is already filled.
  • As a rule of thumb, threads will normally be closed after 30 days unless you update the thread saying you've found someone.

Rules for REPLIES:

  • If you are not interested in a job then please don't reply in the thread.

  • If someone has already asked a question or made a comment you don't need to also ask it.

  • Posts that are simply commenting on how ridiculous the budget or job requirement is will be seen as spam and will be deleted. We will no longer tolerate long discussions about how low a budget is, as this helps no one.

  • Please bear in mind that not everyone who wants a site designed will understand that designing a unique site does take a lot of time and as such will cost more then a template will, even if it is just for one page.

  • Replies that simply state "PM sent" or "check your email" etc. will be deleted. The topic creator will be aware that you have sent them a private message - you don't need to announce this to everyone on the forum!

  • Duplicate copy and pasted responses to several threads (some 'companies' from certain countries seem to do this even to job postings from recruitment companies looking to hire someone full-time based in the UK) will be seen as spam and result in an automatic ban from these forums.
  • If you repeatedly bid on jobs in the looking to hire forum but are seen not to participate and 'give back' to the rest of the community, you will have your bids removed. This is a community!

If you are found to be constantly doing this despite knowing these rules, you may find yourself banned from this website.

If you have any questions about these rules, please contact one of the moderating team for clarification.
