Hi,

I have a possible job coming up where the customer would like to sell their book online, at the moment it would be just the one book book but at a later date would need more added. I was thinking of using cs-cart?

What would be the best solution and as this is my fist e-commerce site what kind of information would I need to gather?

Cheers

Why not wordpress and the e-cormmerce plugin?

It will grow with his needs and would he really need a full shopping cart to sell one / two items?

If he is just going to use paypal then wordpress is his best option

CS-cart might be a bit OTT for one book initially.

What about using a checkout system like http://www.phpcart.net/index.php ?

Is this an E-book or a physical book?

It's a physical book, yeah i thought going with a full e-commerce system might be too much. Hows this wordpress plugin to use? quite easy I'd hope :D

Magento is way to bloated for this. Just stick with a small cms like wordpress, modx etc

I would strongly recommend avoiding Magento, particularly on a low memory shared hosting package. Using Magento to sell one book is rather like using an F.A.B to light a cigarette.

In that case TopShopper would do the trick. And we offer a free set-up service.

Again, overkill for selling a book imo.

Sorry I forgot to write back, the "client" never got back in touch so maybe I'll practice using a wp module or something.
