Hi all fellow members!
Well, I'm working in the motor trade at the moment and at 37yrs of age, I'm thinking it may be a little too late to get into the Web design industry.

So, for now I shall just treat it as a hobby.

Hey, not true - I started two years ago, I'm 38 now and I'm a developer at a web agency! JFTR, I was an illustrator before, so absolutely no programming experience. It just takes a desire to learn(everything) and perseverance. And an understanding wife...
I did have to live, eat, breathe and drink code for the last 2 years mind you - which has reduced my conversation value at dinner parties, unless you really want to talk about object inheritance or data access patterns...

Never too late.. I'm just getting into it, too. Mind you, I'm only 17.

Although, it's common for people to have careers changes at ages of up to 40, and sometimes older.

34 here and only started 6 or 7 months ago. Have lived and breathed it since then and have my first paying client starting in two weeks.

Stick with it, soak up all the info you can and your hobby could turn into your bread and butter :good:

Never too late my friend. I started age 31 and like SWK said, within a couple of years you can achieve quite a high standard of work. Having said that, SWK is a lot better than I am :p

Welcome to the forum :hi:
