Hi, i am currently in the process of desiging a website for the comnpany i work for.

I have the layout all planned in my head but cant seem to get the background right.

Ive attatched the header and footers i want for the site. ive also attatched in image of my problem.

I can have them centerd but when i view the page with larger browsers the site is centred but the background only goes so far before cutting out to a white background.

if anybody could help me find a way to have the images stretch so that it views the way i would like it i would be very very greatful :)

hi thank you for the reply.

ive attatched a zip file with the html/css/image files.

i havent got anything else done on the site i.e. content and hosting etc as its still really in the planning stages. the whole thing should be clean sailing once i have the background sorted lol..

if you need me to post anything else i.e. photoshop design images etc let me know.

hope you can help :)

edit: i should point out that i know basics of html and css. all the knowledge i have is things ive picked up by watching and reading about web design so essentially im still in the noob stage lol

Also the "larger browsers" comment in topic post was meant to mean that i have a larger resolution on my monitor so 800x600 and 1024x768 web pages look small on my screen lol.

Hey, sorry I took so long. Check out this tutorial.

Make sure you get your widths correct.

The code for footer would be:

<div id="footer">
  <div class="footer wrapper">
    <!-- FOOOTER CONTENT -->
  </div>
</div>

Cheers!
