Hi Guys, this book 'Killer Web Content' is very good if for tips on what to write, style, audience, SEO etc. I think its about a tenner off amazon. Any other suggestions of good books? I do have another one but its written for an american audience and seems to fake and over the top for a British audience.

If it's the Gerry McGovern book you're on about any of his other books are well worth reading.

I'll have to dig my books out... can never remember titles (they've been in storage for years and then on a big fat container ship for a nice round-the-world cruise!).

I do know that a lot of them are either annoying, state the bloody obvious or, as pointed-out above, aimed at the "Oh Gee Oh Gosh" American market. The best ones are those that focus entirely on why different techniques work and are as much about business strategy, marketing and sales... after all that's what drives content.

The ones to avoid are the "Here are the 10 rules you must stick to", "How to make $1 billion dollars" and the "I've come up with a poncy paradigm" ones!

PS. Glad to see some folks here actually read! I thought most designers thought books were just like catalogues - full of pictures! :spiteful:

I literally have hundreds of books, its getting a bit ridiculous to be honest. Im thinking of buying one of those palm top PDF readers but they are a bit pricey at the mo.
