I am looking to implement a simple e-commerce site. Its rare that I will need all the bells and whistles of something like os-commerce.
It does not have to be feature rich but has to be easy to install.
Any Ideas

Perhaps posting a list of features you need would enable people to offer accurate solutions.

It will sell some products, probably about 20 of them in total.
The most complicated it may get is the requirement to have a buy 3 get 1 free kind of functionality.
Will initially use paypal to take the payments.

Hi
Just had a quick look at this website.
Site looks a little amateur.
The css of the demo site is using tables for the page structure. Not sure the markup is up to scratch with it.
No offence to the makers, just a little constructive critisism. I was turned of it due to these reasons.

Have a look at www.dermace-supplies.co.uk
It's only about £20 a month for hosting and everything. Only thing I would suggest is taking the service only, and finding your own domain name etc yourself (they change about £35 + VAT)
Theres a free trial too

You are absolutely right and that will be my next task. I am a coder and not a web designer. However, this should not detract from the excellent and cheap shopping cart. Look at the Client Gallery and see how it integrates nicely into web sites. Thanks for your comments.

When you have rectified the code let me know and I may give it a go.
If you need advice/help with the cosmetics look and feel of the site, let me know.

Yeah, I am going to have a go myself first but thanks for the offer - may take you up on that later.

Thanks for that. I will be doing my own review of the software soon to make it more CSS compatible. Remember that the shopping cart files can be 'included' into your own 'wrappers' - see the Integration Manual . I won't be removing all tables because the cart display lends itself to tabular format. I would be interested to see how (your) Mike will tackle this.

I imagine some of the tables should stay, as you say the shopping cart is in fact tabular info so should stay as a table. I reckon my Mike will only look at the tables used for page arrangement if you get what I mean. Page styling might be a better phrase I suppose.
Will keep in touch, he's up to his ears in new websites at the moment so he hasn't looked at it yet.

I also personally wouldn't be paying for a shopping cart in the first place as they really are simple and there are many free alternatoves available. I definately wouldn't be paying for one that uses tables either
