Add a result fetaure in google search

Hello friends,



i was just wondering when u scroll down to google search engine there is a feature called add a result with aplus sign when u click on it google asks you to add the url of the page u want to appear when u serach specific term and when u do it it appears on the page with agreen up arrow beside it what exactlt it is and does it help in seo

I was under the impression that it just affects the searches you bring up when signed in but if anyone else knows differently I would be interested to know.

As S3 said, it only works for you when you're signed in.
Try from a different browser and you'll notice that it's gone.

Cynically- if Google makes people who know nothing about seo think they can affect things by prodding those icons then they are sorting the wheat from the chaff!! So the unprofessional sites along with the people who artificially buy/source links that are not true "people votes" sink to the bottom. Very cynical and hopeful maybe, on my part!!!
