I am on page 1 for a bunch of keywords that I thought potential clients would be typing in. The more I think about it, I begin asking myself - what if I am wrong? how have you chosen what keywords to target?

Check out google adwords.

There you can see what keywords are being searched for ...

Of course, if you're a local business, and you're targetting just the locals, then you're probably close to being on the right track.

The way I have looked at keywords is to focus on a specific keyword phrase that isn't too difficult but incoperates a more difficult phrase within it.
