Hi people,

I was wondering whether it was possible to create an online travel agency using a ready made travel CMS, to be able to search for flight availability, book and order tickets online, e-ticket system, etc. My client is on a tight budget, and secondly my technical expertise are limited.

If anyone has experience of building a travel store that deals with flights, hotels etc please post some links and how much it would cost.

Or if anyone can give a price for a website like http://www.southalltravel.co.uk/

Thank you,

great web design community

Yes we can do all this

But by the sounds of it you are not ready to have the site created.

- What deals have you got with your service providers
- What are the prefered API's for those service providers
- Have you looked at any of the intermidiary companies that provide API's?

Before you even think CMS, stores, websites, you need to know who and how you deal with (your travel providers)

There are plenty of travel trade systems out there, a quick web search should bring up plenty of answer for you, ie http://www.capterra....agency-software

For a similar site to your example site you'd probably need to budget a high 4 figure sum or probably even 5 figures depending on requirements.

I would hope you would strive for a better wesite than that one. It's terrible and most of the features I've just tried didn't even work.

I'm not really sure what you mean by this, but to me it seems sarcastic.
