For those who are looking some programming tools for Linux, I would advise Geany for small projects and NetBeans for large projects.

I keep meaning to switch to PHP designer though, just get frustrated that it doesn't do what NetBeans does the same way so everything takes a little longer.

I also use TopStyle which is difficult to beat when it comes to CSS.

Billings 3 (so I'm not making up time at month's end)
Code/Design/Optimize/Implement:
Dreamweaver ('cause I'm a lazy SOB and it almost automatically closes tags. It also neatens up the code after I've nudged everything out of place)
Aptana Studio & RadRails
Photoshop
Illustrator (I may be the lone ranger, but I do page layout with Illustrator)
Flash
PHPMyAdmin
Fetch
Dashcode (for quick changes to code)
TextEdit (for .htaccess files)
Gzip
yuicompressor
SSH
Parallels running 4 virtual machines(WinXP w/IE6/IE7/IE8 + Win7) for verifying I've adequately hacked a page to work in those busted-a$$ browsers
FontAgentPro
HTMLTidy, W3C validator(s), Firebug, YSlow, Web Developer Tools, etc. w/FF
SEO:
Google Webmaster Tools
Google Analytics
Google Keyword Tools
Nathan Anderson's SEO Club
Video:
Final Cut Studio
Quicktime (no more Camtasia!)
FlashVideoEncoder
Flowplayer
Backup, Security & Sanity:
CarbonCopyCloner
Norton AV
iTunes
Nothing new - just more of the same...for Mac folks anyway.

but here's my two pennies:
For coding - Smultron (free for macs)
CMS - ModX (open source)
Vector images - Inkscape (free)
For other image editing - GIMP (free equivalent of photoshop)
CuteFTP (for macs) - for FTP
For virtual server - XXAMP (free version)
I certainly couldn't afford Dreamweaver even if I wanted it. Quite fancy Coda tho....

Why did you stop using Aptana? The first release was buggy so I waited. They dropped 2.0.1 today and it 'seems' stable - so far.

Coding: Netbeans 7.0 - The editor i used to love was Aptana, but I ragequit the program because it didn't have a simple file syncing solution and I didn't enjoy creating projects on my actual server. Netbeans has this and it's absolutely perfect in my eyes for the type of work I do (mostly PHP & javascript)
Design: Inkscape & Gimp - I know how to get the most out of free software
Web: Firefox, Chromium, Opera

At home I do all of my stuff locally so notepad++ is super fast for me, and I use WAMP.
For database work, my favorite is toad, though I don't have too much experience with anything else.
Photoshop as well

Dreamweaver CS5: Although I seldom use any of its features I just code with it. Kinda got used to it, and as said previously you tend to stick with what you are comfortable with.
GRAPHICS:
Fireworks CS5: I have always used variants of this. Simple to use and creates images for the web rather than for a myriad of other uses.
WEB:
Filezilla
phpMyAdmin
Firefox, IE, Safari, Chrome, Opera, Opera Mobile.
AdobeBrowserLab
WAMP running 24/7 on local server.
Good to see a range of alternatives listed here, might give some a trial.
