Hi,

I have been setting up online shops for some time now and have been using what I consider to be the best ecommerce bit of software out there ekmpowershop I love! It's great for creating sites for clients as it's easy to use for both me and the client and I know it's capabilities. The only problem is you have to pay £20 a month to use it as they host the site for you with the software on.

My question is does anyone know of a similar bit of software that I can buy(one off fee) and host myself or is free? I know there is loads out there but I like the way on ekm you can insert a really simple html template and some key tags much easier than zencart or cubecart or is it you tell me?

look forward to your views!

chris

We really like Interspire which is a one off fee of $300 and then allows you to download and install the software on your own hosting. It has some really great features and templating for it isn't too bad once you get used to the tagging system they use.

For small shops you might want to look at TopShopper (£29)
