Hello guys,just like the enquiry about stopping auto play;
i made a skyscrapper banner with scrolling text; no ACTION SCRIPT YET..i used basic motion tween. the text scrolls from bottom to top and has two links in it that work. my problem is that i want an event handler(if that's the right word); so when users want to click on the link, the flash banner pauses and on release continues. i hope i am a bit clear.

i was wondering if action script coding could help me achieve this

if you want to use the button outside of your scyscraper movie clip then you would have smth like that in actionscript 2
in actionscript 3 it will look different slightly though

bButton.onPress = function () { mcSkyscraper.stop(); }
bButton.onRelease = function () { mcSkyscraper.play(); }
