I've forgotten to do something crucial. And all I can remember is I needed to post something, and I only have one stamp left so I thought "I need to buy another stamp".

Help?

Ah Now, See, I hadn't got as far as to put it in an envolope or anything. It was just a thought "Oh I must do that" whatever THAT is.

I hate it when this happens, just look around the room for stimuli and if possible get yourself into the same context as you were before, for example try and get yourself into the same mood and in the same place as before... Context dependant memory is a great thing ;) .

For example, the other day I was on the phone about to say something, my girlfriend said something and I forgot, then I got myself into the same position as before, putting my toe through the slats in the blinds and make sounds with the blinds with my feet and I remembered.
