Hey i'm 16 and i'm just wanting a simple template design! =) I don't think it'll take very long and since i don't really have a lot of money it's gonna be a low budget design :p

Scope:
Site will be used for reviews on products, competitions and blog.
I already have a simple idea of a basic template design (email me for more info) of which i want to be able to update and perhaps also potentially edit for myself in the future using dreamweaver.

Font: I'm kind of aiming at a marvel theme so perhaps one of these if possible http://www.dafont.co...ked-marvel.font

Background:
http://3.bp.blogspot...CETo/s400/2.jpg
Quite similar to this but with coloured background (maybe yellow/orange)

Size:
I need 5 Pages - 'Home!', 'Reviews!' - subcategories on the page when you click on it, 'Competitions!' ,'Blog!' and 'Contact Us!'

Time Frame:
3 weeks? I'm in no rush to be honest but it's a really simple design so i don't think it'll take long anyway :D

Budget:
£10-£40 - i willing to go slightly higher but i'm not sure :(

Existing URL:
http://www.babylittlekelvin.com

Features:
- http://www.startup-review.com/ similar to this: ability to subscribe (RSS)
- http://www.startup-r...-ad-network.php - at the bottom the comment box - where they can email answers to me (for the competitions page)

- example: http://babylittlekelvin.com/blog.html as you can see the youtube video box and pictures are not structured properly and i'm just wondering if there's anything that can be done for my new template to have it fixed in position as i might be often linking youtube videos and photos (especially for reviews) on to it :)

Email me at babylittlekelvin@yahoo.co.uk

Thanks and hoping for a reply soon! :D

Is this just for a design and slice into html or do you need the features to be added too?

If so then I'm no developer but I dont think you're budget will be enough for some of the features you want for this site. Eventhough you did say you would be willing to pay more, I'm pretty sure it will be a substantial increase to your proposed budget.

You're best bet is to probably download and install wordpress, and find a theme that fits most of your criteria and learn how to tweak it :)

Theirs some good premium themes here, plenty more (free and premium) around the web too :) and plenty of support from forums or premium theme authors too.

Thanks! I see a template i really like :D.. but can you give me some info on how to use wordpress because i've never used it before! - Like am i able to still edit it through dreamweaver or do i use a completely different software? And also am i still able to host it with my current web hosting site (fasthosts.co.uk) or do i have to change it?

Thanks a lot :D

I'll double check fasthost, but i'm pretty sure it's a linux server so you should be fine :)

You Edit the content via the wordpress admin, most of it's automatic, you just do the articles and stick it in the right category.

Theirs thousands of plugins you can download to extend the functionality, theirs a plugin for almost anything you could want to do.

If you want to try the backend out, see here: http://php.opensourc...&name=WordPress

It's an online demo you can log in and play around with.

Just checked the fasthost site, they do both linux and windows hosting, both with php and mysql support, which is all you need :) so you're pretty much good to go regardless of the os if you want it.
