So who here is a football fan? Do you play? What position? Who do you support? etc.... and so on....

I am a Chelsea Fan and I also play a bit. I am a centre back or right back and just play sunday league!

So who else plays? If any Essex people play then we might be up against each other at some point in the coming season lol

*spits on floor* lol

For the lower leagues, I am a fan of Leyton Orient so I try to go and see them as often as possible :)

My mate is a Southampton fan, so we have been laughing at him a lot recently lol

I'm sure we had a thread like this not long ago and it turned into me almost being banned (for replying to gooners)

I'm a yid (a few others around this forum too)

I used to play in a Sunday league in goal but I did my shoulder in and now I can only dive one way lol... useless! Now I only play with mates every Tuesday and I'm a CB. After being in Goal for a good 15 years, you really get to know exactly what a good CB should be doing.

I like Orient too, but probably just because they share their ground with our reserves.

Football is the dullest sport on the planet and when I'm eventually Prime Minister, under Ben's Britain, it will be banned.

I just REALLY hate it. It's like watching paint dry. I can't play for crumbs either. My interest in it is just zero.

Haha... only just noticed you're Derby based!

I don't actively follow Derby but if anybody asks I'll say I'm a Derby fan. About the only player I could name is the keeper, Bywater?

Spurs Fan, but also look out for Bournemouth but only as I am uni there.

Playing wise, I haven't played competitive football for a few years now, as I have screwed up my knee (even the doctors don't know what I've done to it). But I still play with mates and stuff and thinking of making a 5-a-side team for our local league.

I used to play Left-back, but now I have moved into a more midfield role.

Roy Carrol's our keeper mate... Stephen Bywater in #2!

We've had a conversation about derby before though :)

Football, the bane of my life. I have fun when playing football, but everything about it annoys me, people who talk about it all the time annoy me, football players annoy me, football fans annoy me, football hooligans annoy me, football grounds annoy me.

Rugby.

Football as in Rugby or Soccer? LOL, after reading the replies, it's about soccer.

Manchester United fan. Secondly Barcelona FC. I chose to support Manchester United during the Champions League Final @ Rome as I started off supporting Manchester United since I was 9 years old.

My favorite position(s): Striker, Winger, Attacking Midfielder. So, FW, ST, CAM, RWM, RWB, LWM, LWB, etc. do fit me.

I do play soccer around in my country. Street soccer, field soccer. I seldom play futsal, or should I say just once or twice? I am in a team from my school that goes around looking for public/friendly matches.

I really hate hearing Beckham use the word 'Soccer' because you can tell he really hates saying it too.

HOOOOOWWWEVER, terydinho... American Football is called Football because the objective is to use your feet to advance up the field. Just like Rugby is officially called 'Rugby Football'.

Use to follow it when I was younger, started supporting Man Utd. when I was old enough to watch them. Use to idolize them. When I was about 13 I started to hate them, mainly cause of how cocky all their supporters were. When I was 15 I just gave up completly on it cause of muppets like Ronaldo, looking for crazy money to dive around the place. I've always wanted to see him play a game of rugby, the chap would be kilt.

Liverpool FC supporter - and I personally think we will be champions 09/10!

Maybe we should start a Web Designer Forum fantasy football league for the coming season?!

Hi Stuart - I think there was a WDF Fantasy Football last year, will probably set one up this season as well. Liverpool eh? You have about as much chance of being champions as Man City - you were good last season but I expect you to lose Xavi Alonso and maybe Macsherano too which will leave you so weak in midfield, especially if Gerrard gets banged up for a year or two :p lol

I cannot wait for the season to begin! It will be interesting to see how United cope without Ronaldo, how city keep all their strikers happy and how the mighty Spurs fare up with a full season under Redknapp!

Will be at the Spurs Barca game at Wembley tomorrow wearing my Spurs LYKC top, so if anyone manages to spot me, give me a shout and I'll buy you a drink! ;)

Awwwww I so wanted to go to that game but one of my best mates had to be born on the 24th of July, grrr! Shame we haven't got really any new signings to display (other than those kyle kids).. so want Hunterlaar to come to Spurs! Will watch the highlights though as soon as I get back and try and spot you :p

Now then. I'm a Lincoln City fan so it's good to see there's someone else who supports football the lower divisions. I've been to Brisbane Road (or The Matchroom Stadium) quite a number of times. We've lost most of the time though!

You signed Adrian Patulea from us a month ago. He became a legend within the first few months playing for us but fell out of favour with the management even though he was our leading scorer!
