I have recently added around 30 pages to my website and changed a couple of file names (i know they wont get indexed now as they are not there anymore) my main page is still the same and has been indexed twice in the past week, however the new pages havent... I have added a xml sitemap and html sitemap linking from the first page also seperate links from the first page to make sure googlebot can find the new pages. but they dont show up when i search for them.... is it a case of waiting as its been 2 weeks since i added the pages or am i doing something wrong?

Hi,

Recheck your site maps and the meta tag robots, should be something like this (if is empty don't worry, the default action is to index pages)
<meta name="robots" content="index, follow" />

yeah make sure they are indexable, also, how do you know they haven't been indexed? you could digg or redit your new pages, they will get indexed in no time!

I dont use the robots meta tag or file so hopefully tht shouldnt be a problem, I just keep checking site:mysite.co.uk in google and theres just the older pages still there, the unchanged pages have been indexed but the new ones i`ve added havent...

How do i "digg or redit your new pages" ?

go to http://digg.com/and add your pages which you want to be indexed. simples.

Create some backlinks to pages you want indexed.

I`m fairly new to seo, do you mean add links from other sites as in signitures ect?
