Background image in IE8

Hey guys, this is my 1st post.
I downloaded IE8 there today and tried to view my site on it, and my background image has gone walkies and I cant see it at all. Does anyone know why that would happen, heres my code for it:
body {
margin: 0;
text-align: center;
background-image:url(background.jpg);
background-repeat: repeat;
}
