So in stead of just adding a link in your blog post, pointing to this 'awesome article with cool css techniques', you just copy-past someone else's work without even adding a reference link to the article or mentioning that it has been published somewhere else. You know what that's called, plagiarism, otherwise a nice article...

huh

By ripping other peoples content, which is copyrighted.

A quote from the tuts network

The text, images and tutorials themselves are copyright their respective owners.
You cannot copy whole tutorials, either in English or translated to another language.

You've hotlinked the images on their site, consuming there bandwidth, and costing them money, as well as stolen content they've paid for.

By all means expand on other peoples stuff, elaborate and reference. But this is just plain theft.

Could you have not just posted a link to their article without copying it to your blog? Something along the lines of "This is a brilliant blog post - [link]".

you should NEVER copy someone else work, even if it doesn't state that you cannot....you should only copy someones work IF they give your permission to do so...some articles let you do this so long as you link to their site, but if they don't say that you can use their work just assume that you cannot and that you are not allowed to

Please remember that people work hard on these articles, so for you to not only steal their written work, but also hotlink the images so you steal their bandwidth as well, this means you are stealing money from them....wow nice way to thank them for their hard work.
