Firefox baby! All the time! - should you not make a poll for this?

Firefox is the grassroots of any web dev! Although Chrome is coming up and fast.

Well for me it's Opera - I love the Speed Dial page. I use it for all my usual stuff although I use firefox for checking websites, how they are made up etc.

Then I use safari as a default for when I click on an email link or something as it is faster.

I ought to check if Opera has a developer toolbar really... it does have a little widget that shows the no. of security flaws each browser has and IE tops out, while when I last looked Opera was the best. :D

Oh plus opera exports all your bookmarks nicely... firefox was a bit patchy at this.

Hm but I use firefox for Chatzilla for the forum's unofficial chat room ... now I don't know

Speed Dial for FireFox

Firefox for me, but only because of all the add-ons :)

I don't mind Opera, and I quite like chrome, although its support of Javascript is a bit buggy.

Safari I won't use, because it's too "macish" for my tastes :)

I also have the following installed:

Flock

IE 6/7/8

NN7

Maxthon

Just started using Opera this week, and you know what, it might actually be better than Firefox.... :o

- it has Dragonfly, like Firebug - but with an arguable better JS console
- It has bookmark syncing across machines
- It has lots of the extended functionality of a web pimped FF, but by default - and doesn't take an age to startup
- torrent browser
- (good) native feed reader
- of all the browsers it has the most bleeding edge support for standards

I'm experimenting with it at the moment - bit tricky to try and move from one browser to another - but I'm really liking it.

Whenever I've used Firefox to export bookmarks it's always done it in a pretty HTML file.

For me my favourite browser is Safari.

I use foxmarks (xmarks) to sync bookmarks offline now - but Opera does this by default, although only between Opera browsers. Hopefully xmarks will provide support for Opera, then there'll be a nice browser agnostic web based bookmark service to unify all these different browser setups.

sunwuking, let us know how you get on with opera.

Firebug's been going nuts lately, the console churns out a bazillion errors about some firefox tracking script? If opera has this, i may convert :p

Although, that said, the chrome extensions is supposed to be out by the end of this month :D i hope people develop lots of immense goodies *gets excited*

My favourite browser is Firefox followed by IE. Firefox is nice and fast, easy to use and does the job nicely, it's a shame however that some plugins don't auto install like IE but it's a small sacrifice ;)

Firefox is favourite by far.
I like Opera but not enough to be a primary browser. Can't stand Chrome. The Developer tool in IE8 is pretty cool though.

My main dilemma with FF is that once you've loaded it up with all the gubbins for development, it can take an age to crank up - it's almost like booting up Photoshop! Opera seems more integrated - although I may have to delay my transfer until I'm a bit less busy.

Since the release of Firefox 3 I tend to prefer Opera. Firefox 3 is pretty awful on Linux especially when it comes to JavaScript with lockups etc. Opera handles JS at lightning speed and is much more stable.

Konqueror is probably my fav browser except I'm not a great KDE fan, so I don't have it... I use Opera/Firefox the most so I'll swing with Opera on the original question.
