Your right, you are breaking some rules of design. Not well though.
Firstly, your logo looks terrible like that. I know you thought it would be awesome-cool to stick a drop shadow AND a reflection on it, but look what you got
The diagonal scan background is 2 years out right now, and you even got that wrong at points.
Unnecessary portfolio flash.
HOW CAN YOU CLAIM TO PROVIDE SEO IF YOU CAN'T PULL IT OFF YOURSELVES?

I don't think your design represents your portfolio, there are just a few things.
You should make your links at the top hover images, so that you dont have to hover over the world "portfolio" (for example) to make the image change;
I really like the top part, with the reflection beneath, it's a nice contrast to the striped background too;
I don't like the "CRIMINALS" bit that goes diagnally across the header part;
Not a fan of the drawing on the Lamborghini, the patterns that you've used on it are very cliché.
Other than that it's a nice, clean website.

I advise.
Shortening the title tag down from 80 characters to around 60-70.
Create a 301 redirect.
Put ALT Tags on your images.

Your website isn't bad, but does need some improvement. First of all, I don't like flash. You however, used it in a decent way. If the flash slideshow in the page was not there, the first place my eyes would have been drawn to would be the menubar, who's color difference is vibrant and prominent. I love the platinum panel design, but the menubar distracts the viewer's eyes too much. Try changing some of the colors. The body of the webpage, underneath the slideshow is decent and clean though.

Now that I look at the website again, I notice how much space the flash slideshow panel takes up. See if you can reduce the panel size so that the viewer of your website doesn't have to scroll the page down in order to view the core part of your font page.

Hi Guys,
we appreciate the time taken to make comments good and bad.
The site has been live since November 08, so as you can imagine we are still ironing out some kinks, while offering our full time to our clients.
As always design is an ongoing thing, so the site is far from complete. Obviously there will be versions 2, 3 and so on. So your comments have been taken on board. We are never going to please everyone, especially designers, who are the hardest critics. Yet this is why it was thrown out to you guys for your opinions.
Regards,
Tony

You need to look at the accessibility of your website, as there are a lot of errors in the way that it is coding. The alt tags worries me a little as I wouldn't even expect someone who is just started learning web design to make this mistake, so a company that is selling their services as web designers is a bit of a worry. You need to remember that just because a site looks nice in a browser, it doesn't mean that your site is done...what about those that don't use a browser the same way as you?
Design wise it is broken. There are too many styles and as such it just doesn't really work. It looks like you have seen elements of design that you have liked and then tried to mash them all together into a site. The flash thing on the main page doesn't really work and with it being quite a big thing on the page its a little off putting, personally as boring as its sounds I think fading images would work better here especially to help blend the styles together. The reflection on the logo doesn't work and would look better without it as what it is doing is separating that part of your site form the rest of it. Again with the menu...really it is like your site is sectioned and each bit was designed by different designers who didn't know what style the site was to be in or even saw what the others were working on...as by themselves the different elements look nice, but together and as a site they don't and the site looks fragmented. I would say tone down your ideas, as to be different doesn't mean to take a lot of styles that don't work together and placing them together (that is a braking the point of design I guess, so your slogan works on that level). But its hard to give a critique as because it is a critique of the whole site and on a whole your site doesn't work, this review comes off as negative, really there are good bits of design in there, they just don't work together as a whole design.
So my advice, look at your code as if you have the technical ability you claim to have with web sites then you should know how to code a website correctly and should be showing this on your site...but your site shows very basic mistakes in the coding. Also look at unifying your design so that it blends and works together

Hi
Flash kills my eyes and it is so disruptive that I just kill the visit.
However, that’s just my opinion and the majority may well prefer it.
The rest of the website looks great to me, except for the flaws in your word presentation.
Good luck
