NB: you may want to add a link to flash player 10 on this thread. If like me someone hasn't got it, they might not want to start trawling for it :)

I just had to trawl for Flash Player 10, not that impressed by the website, rather than it moving by itself, you should really have to click first, when you move the mouse and the site moves around it's really really irritating, navigation also isnt too easy, so you should add a Google Map-esque style navigation (arrow, zoom etc), or just a little tooltip.

You should have a look at some Airtightinteractive stuff, they're really good... The TiltViewer in particular.

yeah usability isnt perfect but if you try it a few times you get the hang of it!
Its a pretty basic carousel with some adds..
I will add some things like more zoom slower spinning speed or faster spinning.

While it is very cool, I don't really think it is functional.

Sorry but to me it just seems like a poorly constructed carousel. It is hard to navigate and while it is a little interesting what you are trying to achieve with the motion, it fails as a site as it isn't functional or really that usable. The navigation of this site needs a lot more work.

The whole concept of this site is how the user navigates through the site, so it needs to be easy enough to use without getting really annoying while still keeping the interesting element. The navigation is really annoying and I quickly gave up trying to click on it as when you went to click on one of the back ones all it did was flip around, and I eventually ended up with some upside down text. So as it fails the core of what it is about then the website to me just isn't that great.

It will be interesting to see if you can achieve this and make it into a good working site. As it could be interesting, but at the moment its just annoying...sorry again

I agree, I don't think the navigation was thought out properly. The site is definately not user friendly, the function is impressive I give you that, but it's just being used and applied in a not so friendly manner.

If these are functions that you are absolutely determined to use then I strongly suggest you come up with a better way for users to navigate around your site. Seeing what you've produced already, I'm more than sure your next draft will be even better.

Keep at it.

Navigation Idea

Maybe have a linear menu in the middle (giant circle as background), click on a menu item, and watch the circle come to foreground and animate into the desired view, then click on the view to bring menu back to foreground?

Menu > View Section > Menu

It's most basic form of navigation.

This looks like a cool idea. And maby i can keep the navigation i have now and make another like this. So you can keep playing around but navigation is easy.

My client was verry excited about it! Because it was diffrent then other websites etc.
But i also sad that many people will find it annoying to use. His answer: We all need to learn and accept that not everything is the same.

But i agree with all you guys this site is horrible in use and can't be launched like this!
Hope to have a new version soon!

Regards

That's your problem, mate, clients ain't going to sit there and 'get used' to your website. They're off.
