I'll say, impressive. There are only two things that I would like to suggest.
1. Remove that scrolling text on top. It's distracting.
2. I'm not sure what the others will say, but for me, the red-black-yellow combination on the lower part with tables hurts my eyes.

I have to keep the scrolling text as that is what the rugby club wants. Or i would take it down.
Thank you for your other bit of advice.

It looks very old fashioned for something that's being designed in this close to 2010. It looks as though you've used tables, even though you've used DIVs, the colours aren't particularly attractive and look very bland, and the background texture isn't very nice at all.
Also, the "Tor Rugby Club" text is in Times New Roman or a Serif equivelant that should be avoided, put more emphasis on the logo there.
Saying that, it's what I'd expect to see for a Rugby Club website.
I'd have a chat to your client and tell them that using scrolling text really isn't great, nobody uses it anymore, and find another method of doing the same thing.

I agree with cats; could you try grey instead of black? I guess the colour scheme is related to the team's colours thought so might be difficult ?

Well cheers for the criticism. The colours are exactly what they wanted as it follows the kit colour. The layout is what they wanted as well. And in my eyes to do well at what your doing you must deliver what you are asked for.
Fair enough it could be better but it does it job!

I am not entirely sure why you put your site up for review as you seem to feel it is fine as it is.

I think it's fine also. It has a color theme, general message, relevant images, detailed pages, fairly clear navigation - so it passes for not lacking in any particular area.
