Hey All,

Ahhhh it's been awhile since I was here, maybe just a little over a week, HAPPY BELATED NEW YEAR :D .

For those of you who provided feedback on my previous layout, you should be able to notice the difference, for those who are viewing it for the first time, WELCOME ^_^ .

My site can be found here.

I'm still lost on terms of content for the Skills page! I was thinking of changing it to portfolio and making up some clients and briefings, how does that sound?

Back to the topic, I would love to hear from you all and put forward some possible changes, thoughts and opinions about my site.

Thank you all.

Ren Q

Hey Mr Old Skool,

Thanks for your reply. Whoa! 10 seconds is not a good thing. I'll see if I can lower the picture quality or something to better load time, would changing the backgrounds format help?

Thanks again,

Ren

Usually what I would do is in Photoshop choose the "Save For Web And Devices" option then just reduce the quality if it's a JPEG or colours if it's a GIF as low as possible to keep it looking nice!!

I'm no expert though so there might be other ways of doing it!!

Just checked and I see it's a PNG, I'd change it to a JPG and bring the quality down, you could prob ruduce the file size by roughly 75% that way!!

Hope that helps!! :D

Hey There Mr Old Skool & Helen,

Just writing to let you know that I've finally updated and changed the .png bg to a .jpg web file. When you have the time, please visit my site again, and let me know how the page loads for you.

Kind Regards,
Ren

Hi Ren, I was not a big fan of your sites first version, but this version I love, it was apparent from your first site that you wanted to do something different and off the wall, but the whole site lacked direction, this one however looks a lot more cohesive and focused and trend wise I think you are spot on, design seems to be moving to a more organic look and feel and shiny buttons and drop shadows seem to be making way for sites like yours.

Good stuff, well done you :D
