Hi there,

I've been developing my new website over the last couple of months (inbetween projects), I'm pretty much done now I think which is where you come in, any suggestions / opinions / bugs, please let me know.

I know the site won't be everyone's taste.. so, be honest! :)

Half the content at the moment is temporary to fill gaps for testing.

Site temporary URL : www.cloudsite.co.uk

Many thanks in advance.

Looks great. Impressed. I wasn't too sure where to look to start navigating, because some of the links were white (which blended in with the normal text). Maybe make the CODING SERVICES, WEB DESIGN, ECOMMERCE, OTHER SERVICES stand out more when you hover? Or make the whole <div class="item"> a hover area.

Hi Christopher

You site is pretty cool, and it must be said, I normally do not like these sorts of sites.

A couple of things I have noticed:
Your site is taking a long time to load on my admittedly slow connection:-(
Like, Nick I also had difficulty figuring quite where the navigation was.

I do like your home page and I rather like the black, red, gray colour scheme, although I would get rid of the Poppy Rivers slide by. For a moment I wondered if I had perhaps landed on a porn site! I realise that much of the web community is male but...

Lastly, just watch the typo's.

@Nick
When I made the site, I made it as though it will work with JS, and without. When I added the hover effect on the <div class="item"> sections, it seemed to throw an error in W3C Validation, and IE6. Saying that, I don't see why I won't be able to add this with JS. I'll give that a try and see how it goes...

@Caraewilton
Hey, that's my girlfriend! She doesn't do porn!! Lol. But I take your opinion on board and I'll change that to perhaps the 2nd image on the slide.

Yeah, I know there's a few typo's around, as I said the content's very much knocked up quickly so I can test the works of the site.

I'm going to compress the JS down once I've got everything working 100%. however, as you're in South Africa, I'm guessing there's a fair distance for the data to travel.. my target audience is mainly Bristol, so I'm not too worried about that for now.

I generally don't like this sort of site either.. however, I as a web designer feel as though a web designers website should stand out.. a way to let your skills go and implement features that perhaps wouldn't be suitable for clients.

Thanks for all your input so far, it's appreciated
