iStockPhoto is pretty good value for money, and most of the stock photos are really high quality.

sxc.hu is a good one which provides free stock imagery.

Could you be more specific? Are you looking for free or pay images?
For free - yes, sxc.hu is the best by now, for pay ones - a large set on options. I like Shutterstock.com and iStock.com.
Anyways if you want free images, be ready to dig them out of tousands of really poor photos. Just a matter of time value as for me..

If your looking to buy a subscription then id say shutterstock if pay as you go then istockphoto definately. If you click on my link below you can check out each site and see which you prefer

The microstock sites like istock have a lot of overly metaphorical stuff, and very little real-life candid photography. Also, the photographers are exploited there, they earn really, really little. Please be aware that if you support such sites, it'll only encourage similar practice in your industry, too, one day.
So, I suggest PhotoShelter.com, photographers direct, if images, and alamy. With these, I'm sure you'll find much more variety than with microstock.
