Hi all

I recently launched www.designfeeds.com.au

Any feedback is welcome.

The aim of the website is to provide easy to use and up to date information on anything design. From design inspiration to CSS and coding techniques it refreshes every 10 minutes and grabs new articles from a growing resource of websites.

All sources are credited at the bottom, if anyone knows of some good design sites with an RSS Feed, feel free to pass it on.

Hope you enjoy! Cheers

It's nice layout. Clean and simple. I also like the idea of having different colours in the logo and text for different pages.

However, I have one issue, and IMHO it's a big issue. That's to do with the main text colour. I'm finding myself having to really strain my eyes to read it. There just isn't enough contrast between the background and the text colour to make it comfortable to read.

I love the idea of collecting interesting and inspiring design articles, but if I cannot read it comfortably I just wont want to bookmark it.

Sorry to be so critical. I still think the layout is good. The text colours just need a re-think.

I like the layout but I almost can't read the content. Please change the font color.

Hi

I too, like the layout and Webee has hit the nail on the head.

The headers are like shining like a lot of lighthouses and stealing the show.

Minor things are exactly that.

It will look cracking once things are all ship shape.

Good luck

Cheers for the feedback so far everyone.

It seems a common theme that the type isn't very legible. I tend to agree.

I've improved it now, let me know if you think it's still a bit hard to read.

Try this....

.controlpanel a:hover, .item a:hover, .item a.headline, table.list a, .screens .imageitem a, .content .right .popular a:hover, .footer ul.friends a, .footer a:hover {

font-size:16px;
font-weight:bold;

}

umm....actually that messes up the hover thing on the right for some reason...

That is much better. I think some of the pastel coloured headers are still a bit bright (even though you have darkened them a bit), but it's not hurting my eyes as much now :D

I'll be keeping an eye on this site, I hope it's a hit!

I think the layout looks god, but i have to agree almost everyones comments...

maybe make it a darket green or something...

Now, the idea that you had is absolutely amazing! It automatically adds new articles to the site!
Keeping your site constantly updated is something that Google loves

Cheers Pedro

Hoping Google likes it, may be a bit of potential to add some google and banner ads down the track.

Will add some new features in the new year to make it a bit more interactive and user friendly. And at the same time will re-address to font colors etc...

Nice and neat, change the articles title color to something darker.

Good luck with it!

Hi everyone,

I have re-skinned and would welcome any further feedback
http://www.designfeeds.com.au/

My aim was to create an interface that was more minimalistic with an emphasis on the articles.

Cheers
