Heres how to draw an iPod in 30 minutes or less.

Final image created:

First off, find a picture of the iPod you want to use. I found a picture of an iPod nano (its hiny and hence appealed to me.
Here it is. You can use this if you like.

Open it in photoshop. (Copy, then goto File > New, and ok. Then press CTRL + V to paste).

Now select #010005 as your foreground color. Click the Rounded rectangle tool. Do this by pressing ‘U’ once. Then under Files > Edit > and the rest of the menu bar, you will see this toolbar.

Enter required settings so it matches my toolbar.

Ok, you may now create the shape. Do this by clicking at point 1 on this diagram, and stop at point 2.

Now we need to add the main features of the iPod. So lets start with that nice reflection. Set #ffffff as your foreground color, and select the Pen tool. Create a shape like this (shown in red for illustration purposes only)

Ok cool. Right click your layer in the layers pallette.

Click “Blending options” and enter these settings:

And under gradient overlay add these settings:

Hopefully, everything should look like this now.

Right. Now it gets fun. Lets add a screen. Set your foreground color to #eef5fb. Then select the rectangle tool (same process for the rounded rectangle tool, only click the icon with square edges).

Right. Now apply these blending options to the new rectangle layer. Follow the dame process for the last one (Right click the layer called “Shape 3″):

Hopefully, we should be looking like this now?

Now the iPod needs a center control. Set your forground color to #202d35. Now pick the Elipse tool ( on the same menu as the rounded rectangles and normal rectangles). And create this circle (to get it exactly circula, click to start the shape as normal, then press and hold shift. Now drag as normal to get the right size.)

Set your foreground color to #ffffff. Now create the smaller central circle.

Cool. Ok now we need to add text to that menu. Simply click the ‘T’ or text tool, and type ‘Menu’. Add these settings to your text.

Ok. Now we need to add those arrows. To do this, use the pen tool again. For the lines, I used the line tool (on the same menu as rectangles, elipses and all things nice )

Now all we need to do is add that screen.

In layers pallette, click the bottom layer, or the layer called ‘Layer 1′. This is your original image. Using the rectangular marquee tool, select the screen of the orginal pic. Then on the menu, choose ‘Select’ and ‘Inverse’. Now press delete. Re-posistion if needed.

Yes, you could create the screen yourself. But I didnt have time, this has been a quick tutorial. Heres my iPod in a studio shoot.

Have fun.

**** Update: Thanks to Mr Frank Voors, who suggested I add a simple gradient to the controls, so I did. I also added a inner glow, which was gray, and set to very low opacity, andI think it now looks very, very nice. Thanks Frank! ********
