So guys I just wondered if you could explain to me what copyrighting is (I think I understand I just want to be 100% sure) and give me a few tips to help me with it?

Copyrighting is protecting your intellectual property - making sure people don't copy your work.
Copywriting is writing text. Why not just call it writing then? Well it's to differentiate between writers for business, for newspapers, for adverts etc. as opposed to authors who have already pinched the word 'writer'.
Copy is basically text.
Um, yeah, being immodest, some good tips if you're looking for copywriting would be the Copy Corner articles.
