This looks like google is going to (yet again) change the computing world and show folks how to do things properly. They have such an advantage being both new and successful. They can take any problem which other people have been working on for years and have as such built up a set of entrenched solutions (like tabs below the URL bar) and just say wait a minute... lets do something else.
So much fresh thinking, and I know some people are wary of google, but after having met a couple of employees I really am not.
I love the cartoon as well.

You can see the different processes in windows task manager for each tab (and chrome has it's own), I do wonder if this could end up hogging tons of memory though!

Why don't we just give google the world on a plate?

Did you notice that Cuil is one of the search engines you can default to? - no hard feelings there then.
ctrl+F - is very nice, search for something then notice the scrollbar shows you where in the page the highlighted terms are.
Once the Web Developer extension gets Chromed Up then it looks like I'll be making a semi-permanent switch.
I can't see any reference to PageRank - is it declared dead in the water by it's omission?

Very quick
Nice and simple
Love the inspect element (nifty)
Except for the bookmark toolbar, is there another easy way to see bookmarks?

I would assume it's more to do with the fact that Google has deliberately not included any link to any of it's own technology or products? The first thing that Chrome offers you is the opportunity NOT to use Google search. I think they want to sell this as a concept without too many ties to Google. Microsoft sold their OS with a browser in it, providing Chrome with everything googlified would be similar and I believe that Google are try to show that they have different morals.
I could be wrong, pagerank could just be dead of course!

I think it's chrome, I had it before with firefox/flock but the spell check looked different.

and after using it all day it is currently a bit of a memory hog... with 3 - 4 tabs open it uses 3 times the memory of Outlook 2007!!
Still love it though, just not sure my PC does...

Google Chrome uses Apple's WebKit rendering engine (Same as Safari) and passes the Acid 2 test and got 78 out of 100 for Acid 3, just behind Opera - so you shouldn't have to worry about designing for another browser too much.*touch wood* - I foudn the scrolling to be jittery and not as smooth as other browsers.
Google being Google - do you think they are recording everypage you look at...??
I really like it so far, I havn't explored it extensively yet, but thumbs up so far!

Can't scroll with the scroll wheel (where you press the scroll wheel down and move the mouse up and down).
No "Add To Dictionary" in the Spell Check?

All I need now is to be able to use mouse gestures, then it will make it as my main browser!

What don't you like about it? There is hardly much offensive or even 'Google' going on with Chrome. Their mission is for people to forget about the browser and preferably not even notice it's there – hence having such little browser chrome around the windows. I think this is a great progression in the browser industry and a killer opening salvo in the direction of Microsoft.
