do you have flash streaming on your server?

have you created an swf in flash that cals in the flv file?

can we see the code your using to place the swf on the page?

Try this

- open flash

- set the stage/doc to relevant size

- click file

- import video

- browse for you flv file and add

- continue

- choose progressive or stream - if your server doesn't support streaming then choose progressive

- continue

- choose your skin

- continue and read the other stuff

- now publish your swf

- make sure you publish html as well

- open up the html file elsewhere and cut and paste into your web page

- there's a heap of options for amending the html/javascript out of flash but see how you get on with this for starters

let us know how you get on

1) try ABSOULTE path not RELATIVE path

- i.e -- http://yoursite.com/...o/flashfile.flv NOT video/flashfile.flv

2)

- add the skin file to your root folder on your server... Flash tells you this when you import a video by default.
- when you publish/save your fla - you will notice for example SteelExternal.swf -- this is the skin file... upload this in your root folder and in the same folder as your main swf.
